SOFT TISSUE INJURIES ARE OUR NICHE.

All of our chiropractic physicians are certified in full body Active Release Technique. We are soft tissue and body bio-mechanic nerds; we thrive on solving faulty movement patterns through the use of ART.

ALL ARB CHIROPRACTORS UTILIZE TRIGGER POINT DRY NEEDLING (TDN).

When the problematic soft tissue is too deep in the body for our hands to reach, we use trigger point dry needling, an innovative technique. TDN is the use of small, solid filament needles that are inserted through the skin and into the muscle to release painful myofascial trigger points. Dry needling results in the deepest tissue release allowing for improvements in movement and pain.

Our Franklin office is accepting new patients.

I walked into Dr. Kelly’s office 8 months ago barely able to turn my neck and in extreme pain after suffering multiple injuries from a head on collision. I am now running, doing yoga, and looking forward to living my life again. I will forever be indebted to Dr. Kelly. More than any other doctor I have ever been to, Dr. Kelly truly considers the entire patient; she does not treat just the pain, but the whole person. She went above and beyond to communicate and coordinate with my other health care providers to ensure that I was getting the best care possible. She is a caring individual, an extremely knowledgeable doctor, and she is passionate about her work and the health of her patients.

In all my misfortunes as a triathlete, Dr. Zubiel has been my luckiest find. My previous providers may have had a particular strength, but Abbie combines all the best qualities. She navigates the anatomy with ease, with a striking ability to spot trouble areas without input. Her warm-up procedures have made any required adjustments more effective and longer-lasting than anyone else I have seen. I owe the ability to continue training to the outstanding quality of her work.

Our Mission

The mission of Active Recovery Boston is to be your soft tissue injury experts. Soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves) is involved in all kinds of injuries. Headaches, back pain, tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, iliotibial band syndrome, shin splints, and plantar fasciitis are just the tip of the soft tissue injury iceberg.

Despite the vast prevalence of soft tissue problems, the healthcare system has not made them a priority. The reasons are many. No single profession specializes in soft tissue injuries. Diagnosis cannot be made by technology such as metabolic tests or labs. And, unfortunately, there are no soft tissue wonder drugs. All of this adds up to a generally poor understanding of these kinds of injuries. We are changing this for the better. Read more…
